Papillon Marketplace is a Fair Trade nonprofit dedicated to orphan prevention through job creation. They create steady work for parents in an effort to keep families intact amidst the poverty orphan crisis in Haiti.

Each of these metal angels is a labor of love, meticulously handcrafted from recycled 55-gallon drums using just a hammer and a handful of small tools. These charming artworks are uniquely distinctive from one another, making them a special addition to your decor. Adorned with intricate detailing and accompanied by a vibrant red ribbon and paper bead, these pieces bring both artistry and ethical elegance into your home. 

These Haitian Christmas ornaments are made from recycled steel drums, this ornament helps preserve the steel drum art tradition that has been a part of Haitian culture since the 1950s.

  • Set of 3 hand-hammered & hand-chiseled angel ornaments
  • Made with recycled steel oil drums
  • Paper bead made from recycled cereal boxes
  • Satin ribbon hanger
  • Coated with a protective gloss varnish
  • 5” x 3.5” 

 

Care Tips:

  • Metal art displayed outdoors will not remain glossy and will take on a natural patina over time — to maintain gloss and prevent rust, thoroughly spray each piece with WD-40® penetrating oil and let dry naturally. Reapply annually for best results.
  • If your metal art becomes scratched or worn for any reason, apply a clear varnish made for metal.
  • To remove rust, sand with fine sandpaper and apply clear spray enamel.
