Your Gift, in Their Hands.
There is a mother in Ecuador named Piodad who came to one of our partner workshops looking for steady work. Her two children were at risk of dropping out of school. Today her children are in a safe school, and the income from her steady work at the workshop, supported in part by Joffa's consistent orders, helped fill the gap their existing scholarships did not cover. She is one of hundreds whose stories are knit into the orders we place.
Across 31 countries, Joffa partners with 67 artisan workshops that collectively employ more than 400 artisans: women, refugees, survivors of trafficking, and families who have been historically excluded from stable, fair-paying work. We buy their handmade goods at fair prices and bring them to our marketplace at joffa.com. We are one of several buyers and supporters that these workshops rely on. Our goal is to be one of their best and largest.
Joffa is still growing, and the demand for what our partners produce far outpaces what we can buy today. To scale to the orders our partners need, we have to scale the business behind us. Closing that gap is what donors make possible.
One hundred percent of your gift through this platform goes directly to our partner workshops as purchase orders. It does not pay overhead. It pays for the next order, which pays the next artisan, which helps keep the next family stable. $150 funds one full week of paid work for one artisan. $600 funds a full month. Many of our partners go further and build on that foundation to offer counseling, job training, school scholarships for artisans' children, and health insurance.
Joffa is built to last. We are growing this business so the impact compounds for decades, with you as part of the foundation. Your monthly gift helps scale the work.
