2nd Story Goods is a nonprofit artisanal social enterprise with a mission to end the cycle of poverty in Haiti.
Two thirds of Haitian adults are unemployed and 80% of Haitian orphans have at least one living parent who was forced to give their child up due to poverty.
2nd Story Goods employs local artisans and pays them a living wage that is 5x the minimum wage in Haiti, reconnecting families one dignified job at a time.
This gorgeous decorative metal bowl was crafted using recycled steel drums in Croix des Bouquet, the capital of metal art in Haiti. Forged in fire and chiseled by hand, the hammered texture elevates any room you place it in.
The metal-workers at 2nd Story Goods go through an intense process of cutting, flattening, firing, chiseling and hammering recycled steel drums to create their world-famous steel drum art.
