1,000 Gathered Pieces Chevron Necklace
Eden reaches, rescues and restores women who have been trafficked for sexual exploitation in six cities across Asia. Their holistic approach includes educating high-risk communities, locating and rescuing exploited women, providing holistic care and counseling, and offering vocational training and a dignified wage.
This necklace is hand-sewn together by the women of Eden as part of the 1,000 Gathered Pieces line. One such woman, Thiri, described feeling as if her heart had been shattered into a thousand pieces — but her journey of healing has made her feel as though the pieces of her heart have been gathered up and sewn back together.
A delicate gold chain and seed beads in gold, silver and navy are gathered and sewn together to create this gorgeous necklace, a symbol of the strength it takes to piece a life back together and the courageous journey the women of Eden take toward restoration after rescue.
- Hand-woven 18K gold-plated sterling silver, sterling silver, and navy glass beads
- 18K gold-plated stainless steel chain
- 32" with 1.3" extension chain
- To clean beaded or braided jewelry, use a soft brush to apply a solution of warm water and mild soap.
- Polish sterling silver parts with a jewelry polishing cloth. If more attention is needed, gently hand wash in a solution of warm water and mild dishwashing liquid. Use a soft toothbrush for more abrasive cleaning if needed. Thoroughly rinse and dry before storing to avoid tarnishing. Never clean in bleach.
- To care for the gold-plated stainless steel chain, use a non-abrasive jewelry cleaner safe for plated parts or mild soap and water. Use a soft cloth to carefully clean the chain. Rinse with lukewarm water and allow to dry completely. Buffing your plated jewelry with a soft cloth is an effective way to keep your pieces lustrous. Do not use a jewelry polishing cloth, as this can damage the finish.
